Account4Yourself is a business designed for social good. We provide financial services (both individual and small business), educational counseling and design (all levels), and auxiliary services (training, teaching / instructing, speaking, business referrals, etc.) to those in need. It isn't about what mutual funds or stocks to invest in, but rather tools you can use to be smart with your money and taxes, as well as with the educational future of your loved ones and yourself.
My name is Mike Shipman. I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Doctor of Education (D. Ed.) who works both in accounting and higher education. Passions I bring to clients, students, and the public are financial literacy, tax simplification, entrepreneurial ambition, and finding the best value in K-12 and higher education. As a result, I am also interested in legal policy in these areas.
Right below this you'll see "Offerings" for better descriptions of the services we offer, both financially and educationally. The "2025 Update" blog post (coming soon) below should also provide some insight.
If we can be of service (or if you just have a question(s)), reach out using the "Tell Me More" links below or, if you have trouble with those links, the "Contact Us" feature at the bottom of the page may also be used (also includes our e-mail and phone number). Lastly, the chat bubble in the bottom-right portion of the screen (all outreach comes directly to me) may also be utilized. If you like this page, but aren't looking for services at this time, be sure to hit "subscribe" at the bottom!
As needed, I provide small business financial services (bookkeeping, cash flow management, cost management, etc.). I recommend Relay Financial to my clients for banking and cash management: https://app.relayfi.com/register?referralcode=ab-account4yourself
On the coaching / counseling front, I offer five levels of service from "Review and Advise" to full-fledged "Advising and Coaching."
Consultations are free, and these services can range from one-time help to consistent meetings / advice. If you would like more information on how to improve your current financial position or situation, please click here to contact me:
The same levels of service as Financial apply, but I review you or your child's educational situation to make sure you are positioning yourself and/or your family for future employment opportunities that you desire. I also help with employment and college searches and applications using my industry and higher education experience. Again, consultations are free and the frequency of my assistance is up to you! I have experience speaking, writing, and designing educational leadership, management, and policy curricula. Whether you need a curriculum consultant, a speaker, research, training / instruction, or something else, I can provide the service you need or, if necessary, leverage my network to find you the specialist in question (referral).
